Mindful behavior

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is being aware of your thoughts. Catching them in mid stride and then identifying with them without judgement. There are several ways to be mindful right now.


  • Pay attention to your body. See where you are tense.
  • Use breathing exercises. Take long, deep breaths and relax.
  • Catch your thoughts. As soon as your mind wanders, bring it back to your breathing.
  • Practice non-judgmental listening without criticizing yourself. 
  • Go outdoors and enjoy the Sun, and take a walk around nature. 
  • Be grateful
  • Forgive yourself for negative self-talk.

Mindful Exercises

Below is a list of mindful exercises you can do daily to increase the vitality of your mental health.


  • Start a gratitude journal.
  • Body scan mediation-focus on your body parts. 
  • Start practicing guided meditation.
  • Do some mindful listening.
  • Listen to music that you enjoy, or playing an instrument.
  • Do some mindful breathing.
  • Take in the moment around you and fully tune in. What do you see, hear, smell, feel?
  • Spend some time in nature. Your backyard can be the spot to enjoy.
  • Start paying attention to what you consume. How are you nourishing your body?
  • Declutter your workspace and personal space.
  • Have a social media hiatus. 
  • Detach from Hulu, Netflix, YouTube and TV.
